Art camp at STEM4KidsArt Summer Camps in Cupertino & San José for Ages 5–11. Campers work through four media in a week — sketching, oil pastel, watercolor and acrylic on canvas — learning real technique in each, and everything they finish goes home with them. All materials provided, nothing to bring. Camp runs 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with half-day and extended-care options. No experience needed: teachers set the same project at the complexity each camper is ready for, so a beginner and a child who draws constantly both have a real week.

By Friday: your child will bring home three finished pieces — a sketch, an acrylic canvas and a watercolor.
Four media in a week — sketching, oil pastel, watercolor and acrylic on canvas — with real technique in each. Teachers assess what a camper already knows and set the same project at the depth each one is ready for, and every finished piece goes home.
Teachers add other media — clay, paper work — when a group's interest points that way, and the projects change from week to week, so a camper doing two weeks isn't repeating.
Teachers assess what a camper already knows and adjust. Two children can be working on the same project with genuinely different complexity — the beginner learning to lay down a flat wash while the experienced one works on transparency and layering. Nobody is held back, and nobody is handed something they can't do yet.
This is the part that surprises parents. An art camper spends the week in a building where robotics teams are running challenges and Python campers are debugging their own code — and they see it. Some of them ask about it. A child who came for painting leaves knowing what else is possible, and that is a door a standalone art studio can't open.
Every finished piece. Campers take their work with them — the sketches, the pastels, the watercolors and the canvas.
Parents are invited to the showcase, 11:00 AM–11:45 AM. We ask campers to walk you through their own work — what they tried, what was difficult, what they'd do differently. Teachers are there afterward to talk about where your child is and what would stretch them next.

Real technique, taught properly, and every week is project-based. Campers work across media — sketching, watercolor, acrylic — on real projects, and they paint on canvas. The materials are high quality.
Yes to both. Every piece comes home, and we provide every material — there is nothing to bring. Most work goes home the day it's finished; a canvas sometimes needs to dry or gets more color in stages, so it may follow a day later.
Yes — that's exactly who this is for. The projects are built to take any level: a camper with experience gets a version that stretches them, a complete beginner gets shown how to start. Instructors don't put paint on the work — every piece is the child's own.
Art is where visualization and creativity get built, and those carry straight into the technical work. Our art campers are in the room alongside children building robots and coding games — they see all of it over the week, and often try it the next.
