VEX® Robotics: Engineers is a week-long, full-day robotics camp (9:00 AM–4:00 PM). Two weeks on VEX® IQ, ending in a real tournament — alliances, skills runs, finals and awards. Every week continues from where your child left off — nothing repeats.
No experience needed — every child starts at their own level.

Is it right for my child?The 4 questions parents ask us about VEX® Robotics: Engineers.
What is VEX® IQ, and why does it matter?
It is the platform school teams actually compete on in the VEX Robotics Competition — professional-grade, snap-together, and unforgiving of a sloppy build. A child who learns it here arrives at a school team already knowing the system.
Can my child code in a real programming language?
Yes. VEXcode IQ runs blocks, Python or C++, so campers can start where they are and step up. This is the main reason older children choose VEX® over LEGO® — it is a genuine route into text-based programming rather than blocks alone.
What are the Navigator Path and Architect Path?
Two tracks in the same room. Navigator is for campers new to VEX® IQ — structural integrity, a versatile Hero Bot, and programming the Distance Sensor and Bumper Switch. Architect is for experienced builders — complex mechanisms, and autonomous logic using the Optical and Gyro sensors for color recognition and precise pathing.
Does my child need prior robotics experience?
No. The camp runs intro to advanced and instructors assess on Monday. A prior robotics camp is an advantage but plenty of children start here.

By Friday your child will have built a competition robot and run it in an alliance match.
How the weeks workTwo weeks, ending in a tournament.
The fullest program we run. Week one builds the robot and the skills — driving, motors, then all four sensors, one at a time. Week two builds the competition machine, and the last day is a real VIQRC-style tournament with alliances, skills runs, finals and an awards ceremony. Every lab runs Build → Learn → Challenge → Reflect, and the reflection goes in your child's engineering notebook: what worked, what didn't, what to change tomorrow. The notebook goes home.
Teams of two to four, driver chosen fairly, equal time for everyone.

- The Hero Bot — the official robot for this season's VIQRC game "Level Up"
- Tournament day — four rounds of teamwork matches with a different alliance partner each time, three driver and three autonomous skills runs, finals, awards, families invited
Not sure which level? Book any week — instructors place your child on Monday morning, and every week continues from there.

A sample week, not a fixed timetable. Instructors set the pace to the group, so your child’s Wednesday may go further than this.
Who's teaching
We hire instructors for the subject they’ll teach: computer science students for our coding camps, engineering and robotics students for robotics, working artists — portfolio reviewed — for art. They come from universities across the country. Every instructor is background-checked and trained by us before camp starts, both on the curriculum and on running a camp day with children. One instructor for every 14 campers.
Supervision
Children are supervised at all times, including outdoor recess in the courtyard or on the lawn. Safety is the first priority of every camp day.
What if my child doesn't like it?
In the first day or two the instructor gets to know how your child is finding the camp. If it isn’t the right fit, we’ll suggest a switch — a different subject, or a camp better matched to their level. If your child simply isn’t enjoying it, we’ll refund the weeks they don’t attend, prorated. Email us and we’ll sort it out.
