This policy explains what STEM4Kids collects about your family, why, and what we do not do with it. If anything here is unclear, email info@stem4kids.co or call (408) 505-5716.
Who we are. STEM4Kids Inc runs in-person STEM camps in Cupertino and San José, California.
What we collect, and why. When you create an account we store your name, email address, phone number and postal address, so that we can confirm bookings and reach you on a camp day. For each child you register we store their name, date of birth, and anything you choose to tell us about their school, allergies, medical needs or interests. The date of birth is what decides which camps your child is eligible for; the medical and allergy notes are what an instructor needs at the door. You can also add emergency contacts and the adults authorised to collect your child — for those we store a name, a relationship and a phone number.
Payments. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep Stripe’s reference for the payment, the amount, and what it was for, which is what allows us to issue a refund.
Email. Booking confirmations, receipts, reminders and waitlist offers are sent through Resend. Marketing email, if you have opted in to it, is sent through MailerLite, and every marketing message carries an unsubscribe link. Confirmations and other booking email are part of the service and are not switched off by the marketing preference.
Where your information is held. The site runs on Vercel and the database is hosted by Neon, both in the United States. Uploaded images are held in Vercel Blob. Signing in with Google is optional; if you use it, Google confirms your identity to us and we hold the same account details described above.
Who we share it with. Nobody beyond the services named above, each of which is needed to run the camp or take the payment. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it. Your account and your children’s details remain while your account is open. Records of orders, payments and refunds are kept for seven years, because tax rules and payment disputes require it.
Deleting your data. You can ask us to delete your family’s personal information by emailing info@stem4kids.co from the address on your account. [Full text to follow — under legal review.]
Children’s information. Accounts are held by parents and guardians, not by children. We collect a child’s details from the adult who registers them, and children do not sign in.
